These Ham, Brie & Fig Sliders combine the sweetness of fig jam, the savory flavor of ham, and creamy brie cheese on soft Hawaiian rolls, topped with fresh arugula tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect as a delicious appetizer or snack that’s quick to prepare and bake.

Ingredients

Sliders

  • 1 package of 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 jar fig jam
  • ½ lb sliced ham
  • 1 wheel of brie, sliced

Topping

  • 3 handfuls of arugula
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinaigrette

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Slice Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise, creating a top and bottom layer for each slider.
  3. Spread Fig Jam: Spread a thin layer of fig jam on the inside of both the top and bottom halves of each roll, using as much as desired.
  4. Layer Ham: Place sliced ham evenly on the bottom half of each roll, ensuring good coverage.
  5. Add Brie: Layer slices of brie on top of the ham, filling the surface but not necessarily using the whole wheel.
  6. Bake Sliders: Place both halves of the rolls on a cookie sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the brie has melted beautifully.
  7. Prepare Arugula Salad: While the sliders bake, toss the arugula with the balsamic vinaigrette in a bowl to coat the greens evenly.
  8. Assemble Sliders: Remove the baked sliders from the oven and top the melted brie side with the dressed arugula. Then place the top half of the rolls back on to form the sliders.
  9. Serve: Slice the large roll assembly into individual sliders and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of fig jam and brie according to your taste preferences.
  • For easier slicing, chill the sliders slightly after baking before cutting.
  • Substitute arugula with spinach or mixed greens if preferred.
  • These sliders are best served warm immediately after assembling.
  • Using freshly baked or day-old Hawaiian rolls works well for texture and flavor.
