A refreshing and tropical twist on the classic mojito cocktail featuring ripe mango, fresh mint, tangy lime, white rum, and bubbly club soda. Perfect for a warm day or a festive gathering, this Mango Mojito combines sweet, citrus, and herbal flavors for a delightful drink.

Ingredients

Fruit and Herbs

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • Mint sprigs for garnish

Liquids and Sweetener

  • 1 tablespoon sugar or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 30 ml white rum
  • Club soda, to top

Others

  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Muddle Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine the diced mango, mint leaves, and sugar. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint and mango to release their juices and infuse the mixture with flavor.
  2. Add Lime Juice and Rum: Squeeze in the lime juice, add the white rum, and then add some ice cubes to the shaker. Shake briskly for about 10 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Add Ice: Fill a glass to the top with fresh ice cubes. Strain the muddled mango and mint cocktail mixture from the shaker into the glass over the ice.
  4. Top with Soda: Pour club soda over the ice and strained cocktail mixture, stirring gently to combine and create a refreshing, lightly fizzy drink.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish the drink with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge for a visually appealing touch and extra aroma. Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing Mango Mojito!

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of sugar or simple syrup to suit your taste.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and increase the club soda or add sparkling water.
  • Use fresh mint leaves for the best flavor; gently muddle to avoid over bruising.
  • Ensure the mango is ripe and juicy for maximum flavor and natural sweetness.
